Lakeview Animal Hospital No Show and Late Arrival Policy

Here at Lakeview, we strive to provide the most accommodating and fair services to all patients and clients. Our goal is to provide the timeliest care we can, in respect not only to the doctor’s schedule but to the ever growing demand for appointments.

We understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. However, when you do not call in advance to cancel your appointment you may be preventing another pet from getting much needed veterinary care.

Below, we have outlined Lakeview Animal Hospital’s no show, late and missed appointment policies:

Current Clients:

Late Arrival Policy: In the event that a client arrives 10 minutes, or more, late to their scheduled appointment, we will check with the veterinarian to assess if the pet will be able to be seen that same day. If they cannot, the appointment will be scheduled for a future visit. Be mindful that our appointments are scheduled right after one another and because of this the doctor may not have time to give your pet the full exam and care it needs before the next appointment arrives.

Cancellation of an Appointment: In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. If it is necessary to cancel your appointment, we ask that you call at least 24 hours in advance. If it is after hours, please leave this message on the hospital’s voicemail.

Appointment No Show Policy: A “no show” is a client who misses an appointment without cancelling it. We understand that extenuating circumstances do arise; please discuss this with a member of our Client Service team.

The first time there is a “no show”, we will contact you via phone/mail/email to inform you of the missed appointment and remind you of our “no show” policy. You will be required to pay a nonrefundable $25 no show fee for each appointment missed and prepay a $50 deposit to schedule another appointment which will be put towards that visit.

A 2nd occurrence will result in no refund of the $50 deposit. You will be able to reschedule one final appointment with an additional $50 deposit required.

The 3rd occurrence within one year will be subject to dismissal from Lakeview Animal Hospital and will be unable to schedule any future appointments.

No shows for Surgical Procedures will result in a nonrefundable $50 fee and you will be required to pay a $100 deposit prior to rescheduling the surgical procedure

New Patients

  • New clients must pay a new client deposit fee of $50 at the time of scheduling a first office visit. This deposit is applied to the client’s invoice, unless in the event of a no-show.

  • Appointment must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to scheduled appointment time.

  • In the event of a no-show, the $50 deposit will be removed from the account. The client will be required to provide payment once again.

This policy can and will be provided in writing to patients at their request.

We appreciate your patience, understanding and support in these trying times and want to do all we can to serve your needs.
